I've been told that for a straight outta the box stock rifle, Stag Arms is the way to go.

That being said, I went the RRA route. I can't wait for it to arrive!

Woo hoo!:D

I have a RRA entry tactical too. After about 60 rds. the key bolt broke in two, half of it stayed in the bolt carrier and the other half was floating around in my gun.

The good thing is that RRA customer servce was good to deal with and they took care of it right away. I still have confidence it RRA but I wanted a Stag this time, mainly becasue they have the M4 profile barrels.

I was at a local gun show last weekend. An Eagle Arms dealer was there with a very nice selection of their AR's there on display. I think it was Eagle Arms. Anyway, one of the things he was saying was that Eagle will warrant their guns if you use steel cased ammo and that there are rifle makers that will not. Is there any truth to this at all or is this guy just blowing smoke?

Nope. Olympic will not warranty the use of Wolf ammo. At least that was when Wolf used the old laquered stuff (they no longer do).

Have to put my 3 cents worth in here. I was at a recent gunshow and found a somewhat new player. Superior Arms. Picked up a M-4gery for $750. Trigger is like nothing I have felt out of the box. I mean it is perfect! No creap no overtravel... I havent measured the weight yet. Im guessing around 4 1/2-5lbs. They also sell just their lower. I am very very happy with them! Lifetime warranty, no questions asked. All built in Iowa hey its my home state. I suggest anyone to check them out! http://superiorarms.com/

I have 2 AR's. One bought complete and one built. The complete rifle is a flatop bull barrel varmit type for $874.00. The build is a flatop CAR for $595.00 (470.00 for the kit and 125.00 for the stripped lower) . Both are DoubleStar. I had never built one before and I had no problems assembling the lower. If I had built the bull barrel varmit rifle it would have cost $670.00.
