Order placed Monday night, showed up today. Great service.

So what brand(s) of bullets are these?

I got a bunch of the 165g soft point BT .308 and they are identical to Hornady #3045 BTSP Interlocks which I have a lot of. Shoulda bought more.

Got mine yesterday evening. All are Hornady bullets. Got some .224 VMax, 224 BTHP Match, .277 Interbonds, .284 Interbonds, .44 HP, and .45 HP. I wish I'd had the funds to get more. Maybe these will last until the next go round.

Im wondering what mine are.

165 Gr Spitzer Boat Tail with a cannelure.
I looked at the Hornady bullets and didn't see any of them match up.
Anyone got an idea?

LolBell,

Thats the odd thing. I have the Hornady 8th edition and looked and didn't see it match up unless I am overlooking it or something and yes they are .30 Cal ( .308 )

If these are anything like their 'factory seconds' Shoot-N-See target, they're a steal!

I bought some of the lead free 25 caliber "blemished" bullets for $14 a box or something like that last year. I bought 500 on the gamble they would be something good...turns out they are Hornady GMX and aren't even tarnished. The only reason I can see they were being clearanced is that they are plain based and the catalog version is boat tailed.

LolBell,

My mistake. They are what you say. I double checked them and they matched up to what it shows on the Hornady book.

Great price for great bullets :D

Any idea of how often Midway has deals on these blems? I have to pass this time around but I'm always up for saving money when low stock, discretionary cash, and a good deal line up.

Thanks.

Dan

JoeMal, I hope your right because I don't recall the last time they had a sale with Blems this year. I do remember it from last year how ever...Not sure, Anyone one wanna correct me if I am wrong?

I have found it fairly easy to ID the bullets before buying.

I look at the description and the "original price" and match those two items to the named bullets on the Midway site. I usually find the match fairly easily.

If you look at the listings they say 'Expires 6/30/12'....

Ok noob question here: I'm hoping to get into reloading soon for my .308 bolt action. Mostly to use at the range, and want to load my own hunting rounds as well. What is usually 'blemished' about these and how much does it affect accuracy? Any input is appreciated.

The most I've seen wrong with any of the blemished bullets were a slightly discolored outside of the bullet. All have shot very well without any accuracy loss from the non-blemished versions of the same bullet.
