hello,
Did some more work on my sks project. i'm using a c-more holosite on a scout mount that replaces the rear sight. i decided to do away with the front sight completely, so i cut it off with a cutting wheel. did an Ok job, but i put a very shallow nick (shallower that the indents for the pins) in the barrel. Also there does not appear to be blue under the sight assembly. is there an easy way to blue this area? Or would it be better to remove the barrel and blue it seperatly?
thanks for the help.

I used 44-40 cold blue to touch up my SKS when I ground on it. It looks fine. I also have had good results with PermaBlue Paste.

I have used pretty much all of the touch up blues.
Some work better on different metals but overall Brownell's Oxphoblue is my favorite.
