    Hey y'all,
Thought this little gem deserved its own thread, you know, its own little corner of the universe. Figured there's enough of 'em out there among pleased owners to support a conversation.

Please post pics, stories, current vs older models, accessories, gear, carbines, reviews, histories, whatever!

I'll start with a picture of one the way mine is outfitted:

I've been a dedicated Ruger MK II fan my entire shooting life, but I recently shot a buddy's Buckmark Plus and really liked it. Its on my list to get.

I really like mine. I traded for it. I miss the one I traded sometimes, but I am not sorry I did. :)

    Here are mine:
BM Plus UDX, I replaced the fiber optic front sight and removed the magazine disconnect. I also installed a trigger with an overtravel stop (Heggis flip was done at the same time). Did a little bead blasted accent touch on the slide as well. I've about four thousand rounds through it and it is a sweet shooting pistol.
I picked this up at the gun show last weekend ($300); it had a crappy magazine in it, but that was an easy fix:) I'm very happy with it so far.

Did the spring flip also. It's my favorite pistol host for suppressed shooting & the most accurate. It cycles CCI subsonic HP's with no issue.

I'd be lying if I didn't 'fess-up to choosing the Buckmark partly because it is much prettier than comparable Rugers. Also, rightly or wrongly I considered Browning a more reputable make than Ruger. Sounds like they're hardly any different, really.

Is there a way to use the grip mounts to attach a stock, buy a longer barrel and make a carbine outof it? Priced a Buckmark production rifle the other day and a man can get TWO pistols for that price. Unconscionable! (Kind of ugly too!).

I love Buckmarks, back years ago, I went through an awful lot of .22 pistols and easily the most reliable and accurate was a Buckmark.

I currently have a Camper Stainless.

Has anyone here shot the Buckmark rifle left handed?

I kinda want one, but as a southpaw, they look like the ejection port may be right in the face for me.

I had assumed I would buy a Ruger, but am now strongly considering a Buckmark. It looks like I am in the right place for questions...

Are Buckmarks easy to field strip/clean? The Ruger Mk. 2 and 3 are notoriously difficult to take apart.

Can that gold trigger be sanded down/stripped? I can't stand gold on anything.

IMO yes, here's a good site to check out.

They seem easy to take apart/clean to me. Need a small allen wrench (standard, not metric) and a flathead screwdriver. Some have a different pin/ejector so follow the manual you get with it and be sure to keep the washers that sit under the allen screws so they will seat properly when you put it all back together. Hope you find a good one!

I shot my first Buckmark last weekend. I was impressed with the feel, looks and trigger.

I'm a die-hard High Standard shooter, but I may keep an eye out for a clean Buckmark.

P.S. I'm not trying to start something, but the Buckmark breakdown is still kind of a pain compared to H.S.

I like mine also, but the cleaning is a PITA. After about 100 rds or so I have to tighten the 2 sight allen screws.

Not much of a Buckmark fan---but since Ruger went and messed up the MkII---the Browning is now the better gun.

Have owned a BM for over 18 years, and it still shoots better than me.
bought a BM Splash for the wife, she feel in love with it in the showcase.
What can I say...she kinda likes me now.
