Buying an Alessi for a Kahr from someone other then Kahr.

I want to order an Alessi Talon Plus for my Kahr MK40, but it seems that Kahr is the only place to get them.

There are plenty of Alessi dealers around, but they never list the Kahr among the models availible.

I don't want to order from Kahr because they will only sell you one with a credit card and I would prefer to mail a money order (and its not for any "paranoid of big brother" or "I have no credit" kind of reasons, its because I don't want my wife knowing how much I'm spending :p My wife ain't an anti, she's just a tightwad).

Is there any dealer that keeps Alessi holsters for Kahrs in stock?

I have to second garretwc, on the CQC/s, it is by far my favorite holster.
And in 30 years of CCW, I've tried my share of holsters.
 
Only problem with the CQC/s is I prefer IWB.

I'd also consider an Alessi Hideout if I could get it with the Talon clips :)
 
Alessi from Kahr = long wait

I ordered an Alessi from Kahr way back in May or June...so long ago I forgot about it. It JUST showed up in the mail this week. Nice holster.

Reason I suggested R&F is that they do fill orders, and try to keep a couple of each of the popular ones ahead for stock, hence my comment "If your timing is right". If you want a dual-Talon IWB, ask Lou about the Watch Six Dual Talon.

Most anything you order from Lou direct will come from production, in the order it is received - he always has a backlog and has to maintain his schedule. He is still quick compared to many - four to six weeks is "industry average" lately, with some going far beyond that, and the last one I got came in three weeks - YMMV.

I'll second that! I ordered an Alessi from Kahr because I figured they kept them in stock. It took a couple of months for it to show up. I'm not sure if they're ordering holsters on an "as-needed" basis or if they wait until they get a "batch" of orders.

BTW, I'd ordered another small item at the same time I ordered the holster. They backordered the holster and shipped the other item. However they charged me the full shipping charge on each item. (Most companies don't charge extra shipping on backorders.) Plus their sales rep got really nasty (she's really in the wrong line of work) when I called to ask if I could get the extra shipping refunded.

I love my Kahrs but I'll never buy anything directly from Kahr again!
