If you plan on putting holes in ye olde Keg, might I suggest some fairly serious firepower. Maybe the ones they sell now are thinner-don't know, but watched some one try to shoot one with a .25 ACP and I don't think it scratched it.
Another fella tried with a 230 grain 45 ACP in FMJ, and it dented the impact area fairly well, but did not penetrate. Don't know if there was any residual pressure in the keg, but they seem fairly thick.
