Curing murder by banning sharp and blunt objects

    The problem here is that Joe Public is asking us to "cure" the problem of mass murders of elementary school children. 99.9999% of those murders are committed as policy, by governments. Of course he isn't interested in the millions of genocidal murders by troops, bombs, starvation, blockades, etc.

    He just wants to take your guns, on the theory that this will prevent someone from killing small children... who can be killed just by pushing them into traffic. (At least guns make noise to bring help.)

    Did he notice the similar attack in China ON THE SAME DAY by a knife-wielding maniac? Of course not, it's not news.

    The sheer illogic of it all is pretty daunting to me tonight. Maybe I'll give it a shot tomorrow...
