CVA Blazer

I just bought a Cva Blazer I called CVA looking to get an owners manual
I was told by the guy that I spoke with that the gun is so old that they dont make parts for it and niether does anyone else. Then he added that if I mail it back to them they would send me a brand new model 209.
My question is has anybody else ever heard of this before?
And if so how long does it take and what model 209 did you get?

I've never heard of an automatic exchange but you should ask them if they know the model. Maybe it's a CVA Buckhorn Magnum that's $99 at Walmart? Or a CVA Staghorn which is the just about same (but older?) with a single locking lug instead of 2.
I wonder if they might even send a refurbished gun which is just like new?
The CVA website doesn't list the Staghorn as being currently available but that doesn't mean that they don't have any new ones. The Buckhorn seems to be the least expensive model that they currently offer.
The only time CVA ever did warranty work for me it didn't take very long, maybe 2 or 3 weeks or less.
Maybe you should check out the Walmart model so you'll have an idea whether you might like it or not.

they said they would send a model 209 of eaqual or greater value which ever they had instock.
And the Rifle that I have is a Blazer .50 inline.
I am expecting them to send the 209 Wolf in exchange i think they had it listed for $139.00

The Wolf is CVA listed for $173, and the Buckhorn is listed for $139. Don't expect the Wolf or you might be disappointed. Expect the cheaper Buckhorn model and then be surprised if you receive something better.
The Blazer is a very old model, and they don't supply parts for a lot of their discontinued guns. If the Blazer is working and isn't even broken, they aren't even obligated to replace it. They are only doing it for customer relations unless there's a history of safety issues with it.
So you'll end up with whatever they send you.

Either way I come out ahead I bought the Blazer at the gun shop for $120 so cool hey thanks for the input.

CVA is a good accurate rifle. When I first started into muzzle loading that's what I bought. I saved a little money and bought the Kodiak 209. It came with a .50 caliber barrel and a .45 caliber barrel. As per my request they sent it to me set up for the .45..Being in Wyoming it's sort of open, and I needed something a little faster and with a flatter trajectory. The .50 caliber barrel is still with me, still coated down with vaseline and still stuck down one leg and wrapped up in a pair of old jeans. I will never shoot it I'm sure. Besides, they only sent one set of sights and they had them set up for me on the .45 barrel. I'm sure all the other people like Knight, Traditions, Remington and the rest all have good accurate rifles to, but I'vd never shot any of their's..But I can sure speak highly for CVA. Probably any rifle they send you will get the job done as far as far as the rifle being able to shoot straight goes..Okay...
