I have a cva wolf I bought at a garage sale which has an issue.
The forestock retaining screw just spins while trying to tighten the stock. Its as if there is a missing part the screw tightens against. If anyone know what this part is I would appreciate the info so I can start working up a load for muzzleloader season.

Thanks

I actually never thought of that but makes sense.
Thanks for the idea.

My budy has a wolf, stainless black synthetic? If so chexk the screw itself. His was pretty soft.

If anyone has a cva wolf can they take a picture of the inside of the front stock as well as the barrel where they meet? I keep looking at it but feel as if something is missing. The stock screw has nothing to screw into, just air space.

Ive never taken a Wolf apart but the other brake action muzzys ive cleaned have a braket thing under the barrel that the forearms usually screws into. Ill try get a hold of my buddy for a picture, but hes probably working. You might wanna just call CVA. I called them a while back and they returned my call quickly and were very helpful.

Thanks LoonWulf. At the moment I have the stock held in place via duck tape...
It is quite ugly but works. I just can't help but think that it is affecting accuracy.

FYI - I just called CVA and chatted with one of their technicians and it was an excellent experience. The tech was very friendly and located the missing part for me (the U shaped thing the stock screw screws into in my case) and shipped it to me free of charge. It was really nice to have such a positive customer service experience. I will continue doing business with CVA in the future.
