I've talked with you before. There's The Armory in Mesquite on Old London Road, my usual hangout. It's the replacement for The Ammo Depot, that is now near Caddo Mills just off I-30 on Hwy 35.
The Armory has less of a selection as many shops are now, since it seems difficult to get guns and ammunition. It's run by two brothers and there is always plenty of good times and right wing talk. They can order most anything and specialize in CZ products.
B&S in is Garland just off 30 on Beltline. I don't go there much unless I really need a certain type of hunting ammunition. You are less likely to find an AK there and most of the guns are a bit more expensive.
The Ammo Depot, like I already mentioned is run by a man that has been selling guns for years. He has some really serious connections and his store, although somewhat remote, has quite a turnover. He has always been reasonable, and I have bought a number of guns at smoe really good prices. He has quite a stock of SKS's, MN's, and K-31's.
There is also Wiley's. It's a number of miles East of Dallas, and seven miles down Hwy 47, south of I-20. I usually don't have money when I'm there, it's run by the Constable of Van Zandt county, and there is also a range, and CCW and hunter's training courses. Wiley's has quite a few guns of various ages and there is a real wide selection. It's also quite reasonably priced and stays busy, even though it's kind of in the middle of nowhere.
There's one in Waxahachie, called Shooting Sports. right off 287. Small, new, not much selection.
Bachman's has been mentioned, quite a selection, a bit pricey. MGS has also been mentioned. There's also Cheaper than Dirt. It's at the north end of the place where I35W and Loop 820 meet. Good selection, big store, usually fairly cheap prices, especially on accessories. I don't get there much, as my job doesn't go that way much anymore and it's quite a drive.
I think it's called Marshall's, an old gun store off Mockingbird pn the south side of the river. Good selection, or it use to, I dont get there much. Also a bit pricey.
There's also another gun store a little north of MGS at the Lancaster street exit on the east side of 820 in Ft Worth. Real pricey, big selection of some older Winchester firearms. I wouldn't buy a new manufactuered gun there as the markup is quite large.
That's about all I'm familiar with. The Garland Public range and the Alpine range, in the Forest Hill area, both have gun shops, but I haven't been at either in quite some time.
