The paperback for DEAD SIX will be releasing in September, but this is the early advanced reader copy e-book, available a few months early. This is the book that began as the epic online fiction here on THR, Welcome Back, Mr. Nightcrawler.

This version is edited, polished, (it helps that I wrote 2 novels between that thread and writing Dead Six), and about twice as long. And it is a real live book. :)

Mike Kupari, THR-name Nightcrawler is currently in Afghanistan and won't even be in the country to see his first book get released. He's busy defusing bombs. (Mike is an EOD Tech).

I hope you guys like it. Personally, I'd love to see D6 hit the bestseller lists, because having a book that was actually written on a gun forum show up on there would cause the literati elite's heads to explode. :D

Have my paperback copy already ordered on Amazon (for some reason, I can't stand reading a book on a computer screen...go figure) along with the next MHI installment and the next in the "Hard Magic" series.

Check out this - it's the beginning...

Rotty, if you follow that link above you can see the original fiction thread. Basically Nightcrawler started writing a little online fiction bit. I jumped in and wrote something from another character's perspective. (this was before I was a published author). It kind of spiraled out of control from there, but turned out as a really awesome story.

Last year we took that mega thread, cleaned it up, fixed it, made it better, made it a lot bigger, and then sold it to Baen Books. So this went from an online fiction thread on THR to a novel from a major publishing house.
