just wondering? as by the time i get back rom the sandbox i am gonna have alot of bass pro bucks saved up and i thought that or another gun would be a great way to spend it.

I doubt it. I once asked one of the counter guys if they could order me a Benelli shotgun I was looking for. His reply was that the owner of the chain was an 'anti' who would not permit them to order or stock anything 'tactical'.

Various theories about the "anti-ness" of Bass Pro abound, usually based on what some counter-jockey said, and many of them have been debunked.

That said, I have never seen an Acog at MY local Bass Pro.

I dont think that they would be selling the EOtech either if they would not sell anything "tactical". With a lead time of around 6 months no one really stocks ACOG's other than the military. You could always buy one on ebay if you dont want to wait.

thanks for the info guys i appreciate it.

there are alot of places that stock them both on the internet and the shops near my home, but if i can use my gift certificates instead of money out of my pocket that would be best.

Lucky you that you live near places that actually have them. I can get them through surefire for around 45 to 50 percent off but I have to wait the lead time. Buddy just got one, that he ordered about 7 months ago. I can't wait that long.

that is long time to wait but if i was getting 45-50% off i probally would have no issues waiting. that is saving alot of money.

or for a much much much cheaper verison..
thanks for the link but it has no magnification, i already have an eotech so that has my "red dot" sight covered, the acog is gonna be used in an sdm role. on probally a 18 or 20" ar.

When I went to the one here in Socal I was actually disapointed with the gun selection. Alot of space to have some really nice guns and a wide variety and it was worse that going to a Turners.

Its was like if it didnt come in mossy oak they wont sell it.

What is an ACOG? I wish folks would define their terms. Bass Pro has never sold military styled rifles commonly referred to as "EBRs" (evil black rifle). Gander Mt and Sportsman Warehouse does. Never been in a Cabelas store.

LAR-15, around here they do. They seem to have a fairly extensive offering, although they seem to be heavily invested in Sigs. All of the revolvers I've seen there were large frame pistols, mostly in "hunting" calibers.

My understanding is that the Bass Pro market is hunters, fishermen, and outdoorspeople. I don't expect that kind of sportsman's paradise to carry "tactical" goods: it's not their business. The name says it isn't.

By the same token I'd be astonished to find a police supply store named something like Lawman's selling waders, fishing rods, hiking staves, and goofy T shirts that read "Fishermen have a lure."

Different businesses, different business models. So I wouldn't be surprised if a chain that says "Bass Pro Shops online store contains a variety of sporting goods equipment and outdoor gear" would stock or special order anything "tactical." I'd be astonished if it did. Nothing political about it.

Indianapolis is getting a soon. *cheers*
Cabelas
Based on comments Bass Poor shops are like Dicks.
yep the only difference is that dicks has descent deals on ammo , and a pretty good miliary discount.
