Was thinking of taking Christmas vacation there to the in laws and was just curious if anyone knew the firearm laws over there. My father in law says "all guns are illegal here", but I'm not so sure if he knows for a fact. I read a thread on here a while back that said they were doing away with fox hunting, which leads me to believe they still can own scatterguns over there since they are/were hunting. Can you legally own a Remington 870? What about a bolt action .22? Thanks

    see http://www.cybershooters.org/law.htm for a summary.
'Hunting' means chasing after it with a pack of hounds like they do in Kentucky, not hunting with gun or bow in the American sense.
870 would have to be bbl greater than 24", and no folding stock.
