It's been more than six months since I've been to the range. I had some free time this morning and the weather was nice, so I spent an hour shooting my Pietta 1851 Colt Navy.
I was very rusty but was able to at least get on paper.
My load was 18 grains of Goex FFFG, wonder wad and .376 round ball. All shots from 25 yards out.
I installed a new hand on this gun last year and had to work on correcting the timing (a little filing and trial and error). The gun worked flawlessly today in it's first live shooting since I put in the new hand. I forgot what a nice gun this is to shoot.
Hopefully I will be able to spend more time at the range in the coming months and tighten up my groups again...
