Stevens 110E series K .30-06 with a Redfield 3-9 wide field scope. I got it for $250 from a local pawn shop. The weapon was marked down because of a camo paint job done, very well, by the previous owner. Im not sure how it was painted or sprayed, but It looked stock to me. No visible wear marks in the usual place. Before I bought it I tried rubbing off some paint, but It was on there good.

I haven't fired it yet, but It does everything else fine. The bolt action works smooth, a round loads correctly, it extracts and ejects smoothly and the next round gets chambered. The tag says it has a bullet capacity of 3+1, but the rifle holds and operates fine with 4 rounds. The fourth round isn't jammed in, but the rifle feels like it can hold 4 rounds by design. Am I messing up?

I'm also having a problem finding some solid info on this weapon. Most of my searches lead to Savage model 110's. Could someone shed some light on this Stevens rifle?

If anybody has any rifle wisdom they believe could benefit, please post. I'll be using this rifle for target shooting mostly and maybe hunting in the future.

Savage 110e, I dont think they were sold under the Stevens name. Should be a nice shooter. The it looks like a decent rattle can job, or somebody with and airbrush. I Think you got a good deal there. It is 4+1, the magnums are 3+1.

Savage/Stevens sold a less expensive version of the Savage Mod110 (and Mod10)under the name 'Stevens Mod 200'. Non-Accutrigger, cheap plastic stock, fit and finish is a little rough.

I have one in .223 that shoots just over 1/2 inch at 100yds with Hornady 55gr V-Max off bags if I do my part.

They discontinued it last year with the intro of their 'Edge' series (since renamed).

Good solid inexpensive rifle.

Just as an aside, Savage used to use the Stevens name on guns sold at dept. stores etc. I've got a 110 from the 70's'-80's that's a Stevens.

Nothing in the world wrong with a 110E, I've got a 110E action that's the basis for my .260 build. I would recommend replacing the OEM trigger wire with 0.040" wire and tuning the three-screw trigger with instructions widely available on the internet; it'll improve the pull weight immensely.

Hoth206, that must be the case with mine. It clearly states it is a Stevens 110. Glad to hear I got a decent buy.

I have the exact same rifle in 30-06 as well. I don't know the history of it too much but it's a shooter! Mine is wood stock and it's heavy - gets tiring when you walk around the woods with it but it's put down lots of hogs.

Enjoy the new rifle!

Nice price. Should be a shooter. Not a bad rifle for the money, that's for sure. Let us know how it shoots.
