Ahh.... I can almost feel the hunting days approaching !

So, some things I'd like to conflab on for the fall season :

    1. .410 loading. I finally got a proper small bore for squirrel and rabbit this year. I'm wondering what way I should go for reloading .410 : A mec is good...but its $250, and I can't imagine needing to reload more than 50-100 of these per year. Tops. Anyone ever used one of these before?

    2. 12 ga for goose. I'm not going to be out ranged again this year. I got me one of those fancy choke tubes that help keep your string all short and together, and I'm going with a mix of T shot and BB, and just straight T this year. Here is where I need some hull and wad help :

Using BPI's "Lightning steel" manual, I'm trying to put the components together for load #36 : it uses TUWSBL28 wads, and rio target blue hulls. On BPI's website, when I search for these wads, it comes up with these... anyone know if this is the right one ? I'm having trouble locating this exact numbered wad.

I'm also wondering if the rio target blue hull is comparable to this one as I'd rather not confuse my target loads with my spendy steel loads.

Any of the ole smooth bore loaders out there, I could use your help !

Just got a new Natchez catalog in the mail today and saw they have the old Lee hand loaders, I didn't know Lee still made them. I had one as a kid for my .410, wonder what happened to it? Anyway, I have a MEC .410 loader that is great, you save about 8 bucks a box over factory in .410. I'm not too far south of the border, stop by and we can refill yer .410 hulls in an afternoon.....

Watch Craig List. I picked up a really nice condition 600 jr. along with 500 AA hulls, and 500 wads for $35 a year or so ago. I didn't even have a .410 at the time.:D
