There's going to be a special state senate election for the Norfolk, Middlesex, Bristol district on march 2nd

(Towns of — Franklin, precincts 2 to 4, inclusive, Millis, Needham, Norfolk, Plainville, Wellesley, precincts B, F and G, and Wrentham, in the county of Norfolk; Attleboro, wards 1 and 2, ward 3, precinct A, and North Attleborough, in the county of Bristol; and Natick, precincts 6, 7, 9 and 10, Sherborn and Wayland)

The rabidly anti-gun senator Jaques is leaving and the race is between Republican Scott Brown and (her anti-gun socialist protege) Democrat Angus Mcquilken. Some guys at my gun club encouraged me to volunteer to help Brown get elected. Brown has a good rating from GOAL and I this is a good chance to replace a socialist with someone decent. So if you have the time please consider helping out.

Did you mean "protagonist" instead of "protege"? My Websters says protege is "someone under the guidance or sponsorship of"

It was confusing but I think Jrob24 meant that the Demoncrat is Jaques' protege.

Yes I've heard he may be worse then she was. Jaques authored most of the gun control bills over the past few years. Good riddance !:)

Jrob is correct, Angus is as bad or worse than Jacques.

I'm coordinating standouts in Wayland for Scott Brown at the intersection of Route 20 and 27 on the following Saturdays between 10 AM and noon: Feb 14, 21, and 28.

If you can help out, even for an hour, please send me a PM. Just let me know you are coming (so I can get a sign for you). All you have to do is stand around and hold the sign.

Come on folks, politics is not a spectator sport. Get involved. It's easy and it means a lot.

*sigh* and unfortunately Jacques is now the head of the Human Rights Campaign. BAD MOVE!

I'm psyched we got rid of Jacques and sorry she didnt leave sooner. I've met McQuilen and have not been impressed. Regardless of his anti-gun stance, I don't think he has any qaulifications to rep my district. The metro-west is the most conservative part of the suburbs, time to get a Republican to represent us.

Finneran will put the screws to us but maybe Mitt can make sure we don't get bent over for it.

I've only gotten 2 volunteers from the High Road.

Aren't there any other gun owners from eastern Massachusetts who would like to stick it to a gun banner?

I put my contact info down at Scott Brown's web site, but haven't heard anything yet.

I bought coffees for a couple guys holding Brown signs at 27 &135 but had the toddler with me and couldn't stay. My precinct isn't covered in this race but I've spoken to everyone I know who lives in the relevant precincts, there's still much distatste over Jacques so Brown isn't a hard sell.

I'm following the results now as they come in. It's very close. With 33 of 51 districts reporting Brown: 11,703 McQuilken 11,880
