Glock Value

Ummmm..... go buy a Korth and sell it to a gun store. Think they'll give you what you paid? I've sold several Glocks for about $50 less than I paid. That's generally what I look for when I buy from private sellers.... about $50 less than the latest sale price.

Same goes for any other gun.

Where are people selling used Glocks for $500? That is what I sell new Gen3's for. Used, I have a hard time getting over $325 for Gen2's, and about $375 for Gen3's in the standard models. Used guns need to be priced low enough to be worth it to a buyer vs the cost of just buying new. There are tons of used Glocks on the market from LE trade ins, etc, that you are competing with.

Hard to respond cogently to a question based on a false premise! To come to the conclusion that any firearm doesn't hold its value, based on an offer from a gun shop is just plain ignorance about firearms' value.

HK seem to have a much higher value retention than Glock. I saw a used HK USP compact for 1000, $300 more than what you can find it for brand new and it showed its wear.

Yea and you may have to wait a month before that HK sells. You put a g19 on gunbroker for $450 buy it now and it's gone in a day. Glocks hold their value very well. I can buy a new gen 3 in my area for 479 use it for a year and sell it for 450 if not more. That's good in my book.

I think the difference between here, and places where nice used Glocks sell for $300 must be supply and demand. Most shops here sell new Glocks for $550 - $575 out the door, and even the most clapped out police issued Gen2 G17 with one mag will still bring $400.

When I hear about folks picking up a Glock for $300, I think; 'Must be nice.'
