So I stopped in at my aunt and uncle's antique shop today to visit. I looked around to see what was new and he showed me this rifle that he had picked up earlier in the day. It was a beautiful Remington Model 16 22LR semi-auto. The wood is immaculate. The finish is decent, a little bit of corrosion from sitting around for a while, but nothing damaging or permanent. The bore is shiny as can be. The only thing is that it is missing the slide/bolt assembly. Everything else seems in tact. The hammer, springs, sear, etc... is all there. Not sure why anyone would remove that part and never put it back, but nonetheless, it happened. For 60$ I took it home, and now the quest for a bolt/slide is on. Anyone have any ideas?
