an episode of COPS where they responded to a justifiable shooting by a person with a concealed carry permit?

I remember one where the cops show up and there's a guy who beat the crap out of a guy who was trying to rob him.

the cops got a chuckle out of it :)

I do remember one from some years ago where a woman's boyfriend was being a real A-hole.

Cops were called to the home she shared with her elderly Father, who was sitting in his easy chair with what appeared to be an S&W revolver on the table. The old man professed his readiness to use said revolver to protect his home and his daughter.

Cop got real antsy and said something to the effect of "why don't you just let me hold that for a few minutes so nothing happens..."

Even MORE  because when the cop goes outside, someone cracks off a shot in the field near the house. The cop goes plowing through the field (nothing like trying to apprehend someone in the dark with a camera crew backlighting you!) and actually catches the armed, drunk-as-a-skunk (no offense, Skunkabilly) boyfriend...

All in all, Grandpa gets high marks, cop and boyfriend get the Mike Irwin "You're a REAL dumb-a$$, you know that?" award...

There was one where an old man in his underwear had a young thug on the ground after catching him trying to steal his car. The old guy had a revolver in his hand the whole time the cops were there they didn't seem to have a problem with it. He told the cop that he and the thug had a discussion inviting the young man to make a run for it but the youngster wouldn't got forit.
When the cop drove off he told the audience that everybody in Fla has a gun so that's something that criminals should think about

I seem to recall an episode where someone shot a burglar trying to enter his house through a patio door. The bg cacked in the back yard with what appeared to be a Lorcin by his side. The good guy tried denying it at first and then confessed to shooting the bg. The cops let him go I think.

I remember the episode with the old fella inviting that burglar to run. Funny.

one of the re-runs on FX last week, the camera was getting the cop paying for his meal and leaving the restaurant, then you hear gunshots going off and the camera guy is running after the officer. as the officer was walking out he heard someone calling for help across the parking lot, the BG gets in a car and starts speeding off while the cop is firing on him.
i may have some of the details mixed up, but it was a really cool part. they caught the guy a few blocks away.
all-in-all, i've seen more episodes of decent police on COPS than not, so i dont hold a grudge against that show.

Maybe not concealed carry, but there was an episode some years back when a couple of crack dealin' types broke into a house looking to cap a "debtee". One of the women there managed to call a neighbor who showed up with a 12ga.

Officers rolled up on one guy grovelling around on the ground with a perforated hip pocket, and the other mutt didn't even make it out of the window he tried bailing through...made a big ol' mess in the room though! :what: :barf:

As I recall, the cops didn't even arrest the shooter once they got the whole story.

"I'll see those two 9mms and raise ya some double-ought..." :neener:

there was one many years ago the cops responded to a shooting. they get there on the front lawn is a 15 yld who's been shot in the ???. they get inside and find 2 women hiding in a closet. they find a a guy with a hanky pulled up over his face cowboy style deadern' ????e with a massive shot gun wound to his gut and a pistol next to him. above the window he had entered the wall was pockmarked from a shotgun blast.

Cops standing there wonder what the ? happened. seems a couple of dirt bags broke in. one of them shot the 15 yld who had tried to fight back with his own gun. the women called their next door neighbor who ran over with his boomstick and cleaned one guy out the other ran. then our next door hero freaked out and ran home.
