Have you got any particular firearm you love the most?

Mine is easy. The Stevens 311 that my grandfather bought new over 50 years ago and passed onto his favorite grandson. Well taken care of, but heavily used. Death to everything from barn rats to turkey. When I look at it I don't even see the gun, I see my grandfather and hear the stories he's been telling to his children, his grandchildren, and God willing my child on the way.

If pressed to pick just one that I currently have, it would have to be a post-war P-1 that, judging by the markings, was on issue to the West Berlin Police - my birthplace and hometown. I don't even want to think of the rifles and shotguns that I have traded away and sold over the years - the pain is too great.:(

Favorites

I've got a few.

M12 Winchester 16g. that was my Grandfather's.

Ruger OM Blackhawk .41Magnum that's been with me from the '60s and saved my hide on more than one occasion.

Ruger No. 1 in .338Winchester NRA Gun of the Year a long-time hunting partner gave to me before he died.

Contender in .300BS (Bellm and someone else) an older gent (retired Jarhead) I got into hunting willed to me upon his death.

These I'll will to someone starting out with a real interest in the shooting sports.

Mine would be my Browning BDA .380 - not the most expensive but it shoots great and its nice to look at!!

My S&W 4516-1. I carried it for 12 years in California and had virtually no problems with it.

When I moved to New Mexico I got my CCW here. After about 250 rounds of the CCW training we stopped for lunch. I broke it down to clean before the rest of the shoot I noticed that the ejector tip had broken off. I couldn't get the slide to reseat so I took a pair of pliers and squeeze the end of the ejector because it had mushroomed. I was then able to reseat the slide.

I went on to shoot another 250 rounds without a single misfire. I liked the weapon so much I did a search on the web and found another one, this time a 4516-2 and bought it!

Guns I'll never part with

1. The first gun I ever bought---a 4" SP101, .357 mag, bought in '92.

2. My current carry gun, a highly modified Glock 30, because we go back a long ways, and it's my IDPA gun, and because I've spent more on mods than on the gun (BarSto, grip reduction, Heinie Straight-8's, 3.5 # trigger...) Plus all the holsters I've had made for it, since I'm a lefty.

3. My STI Trojan, because it's beautiful and feels right.

4. My Colt 6" Python, stainless, because it shoots so damn well.

5. My highly modified Bushy AR-15, because I've put a lot into it, and into learning it.

6. My S&W 500. 'Nuff said.

7. My Mossy Jungle gun (semi-auto 12-gauge.)

and yes...I have many more. Those are my favorites.

just picked up a 19-3 last week

don't know why it took me so long to develop an appreciation for S&W revos, but it's sure happening now...and the intensity is making up for the delay...;)

I have two favorite ones. My favorite pistol is my Springfield Loaded 1911 in OD. It's my nicest pistol, and I just like it.

My favorite rifle is my Remington 700P in .308. It's my second nicest rifle (I have a Winchester M70 in .300 WM that's a little nicer), but I just like it better. I've put more rounds downrange with it than all of my other rifles combined, and it makes these tiny groups, when I quit messing up and let it.
