Help please.

I was givin this pistol in pieces I got everything else figured out but I cant get the lock put back togeather. could anybody please help me.
It is .45 cal smooth bore.
The lock is in pieces any help please.

Um I don't know how appart your lock is but Here is a exploded view of a similar pistol from Dixie Gun Works.

The main spring should be compressed slightly to mount correctly, but unless I see the lock its self I'm affraid I can not help much more than that.

Is your lock broken to where you may need a replacement or is it appart to where you need assistance in reassembly?

Looks like a Spanish-made Jukar kit gun. Shouldn't be too hard to find info.

-Unlike that CVA Blazer kit gun behind it. Man, those have just disappeared from black powder history!

(Although I still have mine.)

On closer study it looks like someone tried to convert a Kentucky flintlock to a caplock using the lock from some other gun.

If you got it in pieces, then you may not have all the parts?
You may have parts that are not for that gun?

Can you post pictures of what you are having trouble with?

Theotherwaldo man you got a good eye. That is a CVA Blazer but I dont know if its a kit gun or not I bought it used. And then found out they dont make them anymore. But it is a damn fine shooter out to 100 yards.
