Help w/mosin m38 feeding problem

Took my mosin to the range today and the last rd-whether you load 1 to 5 wil not feed the last round.It sits in mag and wants to nose dive when you work the bolt to load it.Any suggestions? Thanks..

Weak spring

Sounds like a weak spring to me. Buying new mags. SHOULD solve the problem. If there's not enough "spring" left in the spring, it doesn't lift the round high enough. Make sense?

P.S.- It's generally not worth it to try to fix the spring. It's near impossible to re-temper the wire w/out warping, and fixes only last a couple or a few loadings.

Spurrit, the Mosin has a fixed 5 round mag. New mag parts are available at TG Gunparts, or TAPCO, cheap. Replacement is easy, Could also be the interrupter.

I figured it out,the follower has a little ramp on the back side closest to the trigger and I filed a little better ramp and now seems to work like a charm.I think I used up half a magic marker filing it though
