What is the people's problem? I can't even comprehend it. I try but it is so foreign.

OK Ohio here are the targets for this year.

SENATORS Fingerhut, Fedor, Hagan, Mallory, Miller, Prentiss, Roberts

Accelerate their removal most expeditiously.

I don't see how Ohio can be so close to KY, WV and IN, and yet be so far away in terms of CCW and now this! It is like and island of legislative stupidity surrounded by all the proof they need that shows them that they are wrong. Many times I have been heading to Ohio to buy something, and turned around to shop farther away in a store on this side of the Ohio River because of a firearm in my car. It's almost like going to a foreign country in this regard.

I (along with about 50 others) had an extended business meeting in FT Mitchell, Kentucky which is just south of Cincinatti, Ohio.

It was suggested that we go across the river into Cincy for our evening meals, entertainment, etc. I strongly opposed that and we all stayed on the KY side.

I do my best to avoid supporting a state that is that gun unfriendly.

I'd write my senator, but seeing as he's a freakin sponsor of that POS, I could write, call, complain, and stomp up and down until I drop dead and it wouldn't make a bit of difference...I sure hope we can get rid of Roberts next election, but based on his district, I have my doubts. He has also consistantly remained anti-self-defense and voted against CCW at every opportunity. He's gotta go!

(2) Any semi-automatic firearm that is a handgun and that is capable of accepting a detachable magazine at any location outside of the pistol grip;
Guess they want all Olympic shooters to move out of state, just like California

I read it. Here’s my take on it (if I understand the bill correctly):

1. It would ban all rifles with a pistol grip and detachable magazine. This means all AR-15s, FALs, AKs, AR-10s, and CETMEs would be banned. Install a thumbhole stock, you say? Forget it. It bans those, too.

2. The law has a “grandfather clause,†in that you’d be allowed to keep your assault rifle if you owned it before the law passed. How kind of them.

3. Even if your assault rifle was grandfathered, the rifle cannot be in close proximity to a loaded magazine. Obviously, this means you’re not allowed to shoot the rifle, even on your own private property. There is only one exception: You would be allowed to shoot it at an officially-sanctioned shooting range or club.

The second paragraph:
Sec. 2923.11. As used in sections 2923.11 to 2923.24 of the Revised Code:

(A) "Deadly weapon" means any instrument, device, or thing capable of inflicting death, and designed or specially adapted for use as a weapon, or possessed, carried, or used as a weapon.
Welcome to Britain, Yanks!

A woman is accosted by a man who attempts to rape her and, as recommended by the police nationwide, uses her high heeled shoe as a club, striking him in the head, driving a quarter-sized piece of his skull into his brain killing him instantly.

A Septagenarian out for a stroll is accosted by a thug who starts beating him in an attempt to rob him. The old codger swings his cane, which is topped with a brass eagle, striking the hoodlum in the temple killing him instantly.

A woman's car is surounded by a number of hoodlums who start licking the windows, grabbing their crotches in a lascivious manner and telling her, graphically, what they intend to do to her. She hits the gas fatally running over two of the perps.

The three have but one thing in common and that is they all used a "thing" that they "used as a weapon". According to the loose wording of this law, they are all prison bound.

this doesnt surprise me 1 bit.hold the line folks..its gonna be rough seas ahead. If this garbage passes, you all can bet OTHER states will look to this as an example, jump on the wagon and pass similiar measures.they wont have to renew the federal ban when a statewide ban exists.ohio needs everyones help.time to nip this in the bud before it spreads any further.Id like a complete listing of everyone sponsering antigun bills in ohio and other states. This way, come voting time,I'll know and everyone I know that enjoys the shooting sports..will know who NOT to vote for.whether or not it passes..just the fact it was submitted really burns my feet.why cant these morons just leave..as in the entire country.:fire:

How are we going to conduct an organized opposition to this latest assault on our liberties? Will PRO do it? Or do we need a grassroots effort of some sort?

To effectively fight this bill, we must demonstrate to our Congress Critters that many people see the passage of this bill as completely unacceptable. It is therefore imperative for us liberty-loving Ohioans to communicate and organize with reference to the status of this bill. Once organized, we will need to do the following:

- Stress to everyone the importance of writing their respective senators and representatives.

- Stress to everyone that they must convince as many other people as possible to get on the bandwagon. In other words, “spread the word.â€

- We need to pack the room at every reading of the bill.

So how is all of this going to happen?
