I was in my FLGS looking for something totally different and ran across a .22LR Ruger Single-Ten SA revolver. Although I generally don't care for the design of Ruger DA revolvers (nothing against them, I just don't like the looks), but I've always been attracted to their SA revolvers, so in the end this one followed me home. I think its going to be a lot of fun at the range and out plinking in the woods.

That second use is going to require a holster, though, thus the purpose of this thread. It doesn't seem that anyone is making a holster specifically for the Single-Ten, but I've been told that a holster designed for a 5.5-inch Single-Six will fit. Has anyone had any experience buying a holster for the Single-Ten? Any suggestions?

I'm probably looking for a simple "field holster" (no flaps, retention strap would be nice), or perhaps a basic "western holster".

Thanks in advance!

I have both, Single Ten and Single Six. They are identical so any SS holster with the correct barrel length will work. I have the Triple K thumb break holster that ShopRuger.com sells. It fits like a glove. I also have a Bianchi Lawman that is very nice. I got it used off ebay. Either will work just fine for the Single Ten. The Triple K seems to be out of stock at ShopRuger, but cowboyneeds.com has them for less. They ask you to email for availability...

Thanks for the reply, weblance! I'm not a fan of the appearance of the thumbreak holster, but that Bianchi Lawman looks like just what I was thinking of. :)
