Hi guys,
I just got a Hoppes Ethen Allen Pepperbox. I was working the action(not dry firing btw) and the spring broke:fire::cuss::banghead::confused::mad:. My question is; where can I get another spring. I looked at dixie gun works but, that was a no go. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

That a flat spring? Used to be that if you sent the broken spring pieces to Dixie, they would get you one that would work.

You may need to make one yourself or find a good black powder gunsmith that will make one for you.
Or perhaps a similar spring can be found that can be modified to work.
A pamphlet that is highly recommended by some of the many spring makers on the American Longrifles Forum is Simplified V-Springs Manual by Kit Ravenshear which is sold by Dixie Gun Works.

Dixie also sells spring stock in 5 different thickness to use for making a variety of springs.

MI0401 Spring Stock - 1/8" Thick $3.75
MI0402 Spring Stock - 3/32" Thick $3.75
MI0403 Spring Stock - 1/16" Thick $3.75
MI0404 Spring Stock - 3/64" Thick $3.75
MI0405 Spring Stock - 1/32" Thick $3.75

There's also many helpful threads on ALR about how to make springs:
