Hey y'all.

I know they're real busy right now, but I signed up for a free NRA membership at a university event several months ago (September). I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Two emails in the last couple of weeks. No response yet. Any idea how long it usually takes to process memberships?

I (re) joined about the same time. I received a membership packet in six weeks or so (maybe November?). I've already received two months of the magazine.

They are jammed. I just upped my membership to "Life". They told me it would take at least two months to activate.

Think something's wrong with yours. My fiancee bought me a membership a couple weeks before Christmas, I got my magazines and hat 2 weeks ago and got my membership card yesterday.

Call them. Whenever I have an issue I just call them and they always bend over backward to help.

Offhand, I'd say as long as you want to keep paying the dues.

The people handling the paperwork on the ground are usually the biggest delay. It was MONTHS before my second-magazine subscriotion was processed and I bought it through a friend at a gun show I was volunteering at.

I joined Dec 20, received my free gift about 2 weeks ago and 1-2 emails daily but no membership card and no way to read the 2 magazines I had chosen via digital subscription. I called and spoke to customer service and they gave me my membership number over the phone and they also started sending the links to the magazines immediately afterwards. Still no member ID card yet but I suspect your account is probably activated so give them a call. You can access the digital editions via the web site once you have your membership number.

I'm very nearly on the same timeline as you and you should get your card this week I would think. I almost missed it but my membership number was in one of the first emails they sent as well.

I re-joined 12/27 and have gotten nothing but a confirmation email and less money in my bank account. But, at least I paid.

I've yet to receive any of their "Free Gifts," even after repeated emails and letters. I did get several cards in the mail telling me if I want the "Free Gift" promised with my membership dues to fill out questionnaires and send more money.

I joined about two or three days after Sandy Hook and did not receive my membership packet until last Tuesday. Considering the massive amount of new memberships over the past month and a half I am fine with that.

So, I just got off the phone with them and they said what probably happened was that the recruiter who took my form has not submitted it yet and will probably submit it and a bulk of others at some unknown date, instead of submitting them as he goes along. They said to call back in a week and if my info is still not in their system we will have to look for another solution. Seems fair enough to me for a free membership!

I rejoined right around Christmas maybe just after, and just got my Bass Pro giftcard yesterday (no new card yet though.. or the cheap chinese NRA hat if they still do those) I would anticipate my magazine to start in the next 4-6 weeks hopefully.

I have the NRA-U hat... it's the only evidence I have in my possession that I signed up!

Got hat and mags, no renewal card, they are running behind. They never stopped the newsletter.

I just got my membership package two days ago. It took just over a month. If you didn't get it yet, I would call and see if they processed you yet. Maybe the packet got lost in the mail.

Also just signed up with AZCDL and SAF. AZCDL sent me a confirmation email, but nothing from SAF--do I have any way of knowing they received my membership/donation?

SAF got back to me a few days ago.

Just got off the phone with the NRA. This was my call back, according to their instructions two weeks ago. The lady who answered the phone pretty much told me "tough luck". Hopefully I can call back tomorrow and talk to someone who is actually willing to make good. In two days it will have been five months.

In the meantime, I emailed NRA-U directly.
