How to take out ejector pin?

    earlier today i picked an old ruger speed six .357mag, the previous owner says that he got this gun with a missing ejector pin and in its place is a thin needle. i took out the wheel and so far im having trouble putting it back in. how do i take out this pin and replace it with a real ejector rod? thanks
