While I normally am not a fan of a double stack pistol, I added another one to my collection today. I bought a Sig P229R. I almost bought the "Elite" but remembered what I wanted it for. I needed a shorter CCW for the summer as I retired my Colt 1911 Officers. I normally carry a P220R, but when wearing shorts and whatnot it can be a bit comber some. The P229 just seemed to fit the need. I ended up going with 9mm. I am a .45ACP man, but the Winchester Ranger +P+ will probably be my choice on ammo. Plus I can plink FMG's for less than 357Sig or .40.

Congrats! Sig makes a fine gun! Enjoy your new weapon, and I hope you can get your hands on some 9mm!
