I was driving to school and I see an older man on his hands and knees on the sidewalk outside of a gym. His forhead and face were bloodied pretty badly. There was a crowd of mostly men standing a few yards away wearing gym shorts, tank tops and boxing gloves.
I couldn't stop because there were cars close behind me and we were driving pretty fast. Besides, I don't know if the men in gym shorts had done this to the man or if they were standing far away because they had only just come out of the gym to see what was going on. About a block away I pull into school, get out of my car and see a police helicopter circling overhead with it's lights flashing. I was about to call 911 but now I assumed there was no need. A few seconds later I heard sirens.
It was a strange situation. The men were acting like whatever happened had just ended but I didn't see an assailant running away. I hope one of the young men in gym shorts didn't do it to him.
Just a warning: JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, ON A BUSY STREET CORNER DURING THE MOST BUSY TRAFFIC OF THE DAY, DOESN'T MEAN SOMEONE WON'T ATTACK YOU.
