The below is a get together for me, a couple of other SF writers, a bunch of fans, and anyone who can show up and be behaved. Much of the chatter will be of interest to SF readers and incomprehensible to those who aren't. (Such as, do Darhel taste like chicken? LAC tactics. MI vs ACS, who would win?)

    28-31 October, Indianapolis.

Schedule of events: shooting, buying, cooking, eating, shooting and

Your host: The World's Forty-fifth Largest Army and Twelfth Nuclear
    Power (that would be me).

Venue: Quality Inn, US 31 and I 465, south side of Indy. $50 a night for
any type of room. Please chip in for the hospitality suite and bring
snacks (soft drinks for before, hard drinks for after).

Shooting venue: Camp Atterbury National Guard Range. Usage free,
donations welcomed by INFWS. You have to sign in and tell them what
caliber(s) you're using so they can plan for future backstops. Ranges
25, 50, 100 yards and shotgun. Blackpowder legal, automatic weapons
legal, destructive devices legal (Ghods, I LOVE this state!).

Buying Venue: www.indy1500.com Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show, AWban
sunsetted, a native guide and a whole buttload of new, used, antique (as
in 300 year old) guns and gun parts and magazines and rare books on
shooting, military and history and jerky and chocolate and blueberry
cheesecake fudge and roasted almonds and knives and swords and uniforms
and antiques. err...can we say "Whole buttload" in this venue?

Eating venue: my backyard and as much dead animal flesh as you chip in
for, roasted by a local butcher shop. We can have beef, pork or even
    sacrifice a goat.

    Drinking venue: the hotel.

Bring lawyers, guns and money. (Money to buy stuff, guns to shoot, and,
well, we have to have SOMETHING to shoot at, right?)

Just for PR sake, please don't scare the hotel by regaling them with
stories of the guns you're bringing (even if it is legal and respected
    around here, why court Murphy?).

317-788-0811 is the hotel number, Williamson party is the reference. I
said we'd want at least 10 rooms. More is better.

Loaner guns available if you lack. Loaner booze...yeah, right.

Civilians can safely assume a ratio of 2:1 military to civilians, so if
you have no experience there will be PLENTY of instructors. (This note probably not needed on THR.)

I would love to come down to Indy and meet you Mad Mike, sounds like a blast. But alas, family and job prevent me from attending. I was down your way about 3 weeks ago and tried my best to get to Sharp Pointy Things but didn't make it. :( Maybe next time I get to Indy I'll get a chance to.

You all have fun and play safe. :D

Why, yes, it IS the weekend of the gun show, and I've already reserved myself two Beta C-mags.

    Make your final plans now.

Did I mention sushi on Saturday?

Did I mention LOTS of rifles?

Did I mention a really good time, where we may be politically incorrect and proud of our weapons the way God intended?
