So I was up at Dartmouth and I met a brazilian who wants go there for the MBA program and I chatted with him about brazil. I asked him about the "vote nao" campaign (which defeated the nationwide gun ban referendum). I asked him why it was successful, he said that the Brazilian equivalent to Time Magazine published a cover story called, 8 reasons why you should Vote No. He then explained their argument that if guns were banned only the law-abiding would obey the law, the criminals would still bring them in from paraguay. Isn't that interesting?
