Ishy 2a1 Stock #

    I have an old 1966 R.F.I. 2a1 bolt action. Ithas a #4 printed in white on the stock. Does anyone know what this # is for??

    Most probably a rack number used to distinguish one soldier's rifle from another when stored in a rack in either the barracks or an armory.
