It should factor into any debate on gun control-- here we have a madman (claims to be J.C., on a divine mission to kill black people) at the start of what could be a massacre, but is stopped by an armed citizen.
The madman's weapon? a car. Maybe a ban on "assault cars" would have prevented this crime???
The armed citizen?? a homeless drifter, the kind who would never get a concealed carry permit under even mild g.c. laws. But his quick thinking and skill with a hatchet was enough to save two people's lives, and perhaps many more.
And the best part? The buzz I hear makes a hero and celebrity out of Kai, the man who stopped the horror. The victims are given their privacy.
