I’m thinking about getting a kareen(Israeli HI Power) 9mm anybody know anything about them? My main concern is do they reliability feed hollow points and can it handle +P loads? Are they closer to MKI MKII or MKIIIs?

I bought one a few years ago. I was disappointed with the quality of the gun. The slide was very "loose" and the general craftmanship rather poor. I sold it later and bought a Charles Daly HP and a Inglis No 2 MK 1. I was never sorry.

I can't tell you however if HP ammo feeds well as this kind of ammo is forbidden in Switzerland.

According to my source KSN Industries produces or produced HP clones since 1969. There is a MK II version of the gun which looks different but is otherwise the same as the MK I. The one I had (see picture) was a Mark I although there is no marking on the gun that says so (unlike the Mark II).

May I suggest you visit the Browning forums where you can search and read a considerable amount of posts about the Kareen.

I see my Kareen (MkI) and Inglis as collector pieces. I shoot JHP and +P out of most of my other Hi-Powers. If you plan on shooting and carrying a BHP alot, find a good used FN/Browning.
