Nice... You must of spent some time finding those Berettas in that good of condition. 99% of the 92's and SB's I've stumbled upon have seen better days to put it bluntly.

BC- You seriously have an awesome collection.
So here's a question. A guy like you, it seems, almost always has the next gun in mind, or the list of them.

So what guns don't you have that you are hunting for? And what do you consider to be your "grail gun"?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I nominate bc1023 to be "King of Handguns".

Second the nomination, at least in the exotic department. Others may have more guns, or better known guns, but that kind is so rare that without pictures, we would almost consider them rumors.

The only other real high dollar gun I'm still hunting down is a Korriphila HSP 701. Like many of my others, they are very hard to find.

I had a couple opportunities to buy a compact model, but I want a full size.

Okay, bc1023. I have to ask. In which way are the MR revolvers better than most? And would you put them over the Python? I'm not a revolver guy, so wouldn't know where to look [on a revolver] to find the exceptional quality. Thanks!

I think if I had to choose an exotic "revolver", I'd have to go with the Mateba MTR-8. Kind of like a pistol/revolver hybrid, but I've seen videos of it and it looks way cool!

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to revolvers. The Korth and Manurhin are exotic, but still traditional 6 shooters. I'm mostly a classic Colt and S&W collector when it comes to revolvers. I'll post a few at some point.

Thanks

Huh. I'd never even heard of that one! Of course, I've never heard of many of your guns, but that doesn't stop me from drooling over them!

Google it. Its one of the highest quality pistols ever built. The price is very high though.

I picked up this rare piece last year. USFA did actually build 1911s for a very short time on a very limited basis.

They were beautifully done.

The Python is my favorite revolver of all time. I love its classic looks and amazing action.

Having said that, yes, the MR73 is clearly the better made of the two. Its extremely strong, even more so than Rugers, in my opinion. The barrel is pressure tested to twice the 357mag's pressure standard. The build quality is second to none, its got an adjustable trigger, the whole internal mechanism literally runs on small wheels. Even the finish rivals the best royal bluing ever done at Colt.

The Manurhin MR73 is one of the best revolvers ever built by anyone. Mine is the 6" Sport model.

Brian,

Your collection is amazing. Besides museums, you probably have the most collection as a private collector.

One more question...... Do you have a Janz revolver?
