Me thinks the answer is going to be more revolver pairs - just because they have more "character"
That does seem to be the case. I would have thought more folks would have autos these days.

Let's see.

In revolvers:

two 22LRs
three 357
two 38 S&W
one 38 Special
one 9mm

In autochuckers:

three 45acp
two 40S&W
two 9mm Para
three 9x18 Mak
three 7.62x25
three 32ACP
two 22LR

I own a couple of the same caliber. Some pistols and some autos. One auto and one revolver are the chambered for the same cartridge. I thought the answer was 42.

I own 8 handguns,4 revolver and 4 autos. two of my revolvers are chambered for .357 magnum and two of my autos are chambered for .40S&W,one advantage to this is when I sit down to do handloads I don't have to switch over brass as often;allowing me to get more done.

don't have any semiautos and I 'inherited' dad's revolvers and this caused having more than one revolver in the same caliber...in this case .38 spl +p and .357 mag

I tend to collect by manufacturer and I CCW autos, so that's how things started.

Now that I have many autos covered, I'm starting to work on revolvers...while continuing to round out my auto collection.

Option #2, #4, and $5 are the three choices that reflect my collection...

2. I own multiple pistols in the same caliber

4. I own more "pairs" of pistols than revolvers

5. I own pistols and revolvers of the same caliber

revolvers 2 9mm and 4 auto 9mm 45 one auto and one revolver 45 5 38special 3 auto 22lr and one revolver
