So I recently picked up a Sig 556 recently and I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the level of quality control.

I was there at the shop when the box arrived from Sig, I was there when it was opened and it was never out of my sight. I know for a fact that how it arrived at the gun shop was how it was shipped from Sig. I had waited a long time for this gun to come in and when I got it home I realized there were two problems.

One problem was that they included a P226 manual instead of the 556 one.:scrutiny:

The second problem was that the rear flip-up sight was missing the elevation adjustment piece:mad:

I probably waited at least four months for this rifle to arrive and I spent $1550 of my hard earned money on it. The fact is when you spend that amount of cash you would expect a certain level of quality control. I still love the rifle and I'm happy that I have it finally but I find this lack of quality control a little annoying. I know demand is high and they are probably busting their butts to try and fill orders but that's no excuse to fall short on quality control.

Anyway they are sending me the correct manual and the missing sight piece so it all worked out in the end.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. I'd be sorely vexed if I were in your position. Good to hear they are rectifying the situation though. Dont forget a range report with lots of pics. Happy Shooting!
