This forum looks very good, glad to be here.

Maybe I overlooked it, but is there a similiar section to the TFL Lock and Load: Live Fire Exercises section where folks in common areas can talk about and put together shoots?

I'm sure there will be. The software is very easy to manage. But for right now, I think easy management of the board is in order. For example, TFL has 3 fourms under Handguns, and so far just one for THR. Things will change as time goes on. Meanwhile, I'm sure your suggestion is noted. :D

I think it would fall under Strategies and Tactics . The formal shoots would fall under Competition.

Thanks for the replies, I'll keep an eye out in Strategies, and for any new sections that may be added.

Where did the term "Lock and Load" come from anyway?

    Lock and Load

It is the process of loading a firearm. I learned the term from Army ROTC. You would "lock" the magazine by inserting it into the magzine well, then release the bolt to "load" the rifle. I am not too sure which firearm the Army had that required the DI or Range master to have to issue this particular command. Anyone??
