MI - Dove Defense events Help Needed.

Couple things..one, if anyone can help out, I can still use some volunteers for next Saturday's (8/6) table at Cabela's in Dundee. They're letting us set up inside by the mountain and we'll be handing out info, registering voters, collecting donations and generally being a pain in the backside to animal rights nuts. This is one of their big fishing weekends so we expect large crowds and want to be sure we have enough volunteers to do what needs to be done.

Next, there will be a fund-raising dinner at the Jackson County Outdoor Club on 9/9/05, from 6-9:00 pm. The guest speaker will be former State Rep. Sue Tabor (whose baby this bill was from day one.) and dinner will be provided by Dixie Dave, famed wild game chef featured on Mike Avery's show. His stuff is fantastic. This will be a feast, I promise. Tickets start at $25.00 and the food alone is worth more than that! There are also business ads, sponsorships, what-have-you, available.

This is going to be a hugely expensive battle, with anti-hunting groups already having contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even if you aren't from Michigan and you want to help out, feel free to send money. We need it.

If you are from Michigan (or Northern Ohio or Indiana) and can help out, let me know. Send me a pm, email me, call me, whatever.

Tomorrow, or the following Saturday? I'm busy both weekends, but if tomorrow I can at least stop by and say hi.

And yes, Dixie Dave is good. Definitely $25 good.

Yep, classes start Aug 29. Wish I could drive the 600 miles for dinner, but that is out of the question, I believe.
