    KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A gas station manager shot at an armed robber
    Thursday morning.

    A man with a shotgun approached the manager of Inner City Oil, 4532
    Paseo Blvd., as he was filing his pickup up with gas in front of the

    He demanded money.

    The manager, who had just emptied cash from a register inside the store,
    also was carrying a gun. He fired at man with the shotgun, and the man
    ran away with the money.

    "At this time, it's unknown whether the suspect was injured or not, but
    we don't think he was because we couldn't find any evidence of that,"
    said Sgt. John Bryant, of the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department.

    Police canvassed the area, but they hadn't yet located the man at noon.

    They asked anyone who had any information to call the TIPS Hotline at
