Mosin Nagant 91/30 Scope

Hello Friends,

I would like to put a scope on my Mosin Nagant 91/30 this year (straight bolt).

I understand that there are ways to do this by removing the rear sight mechanism and installing the scope in its place without drilling or other major modifications.

Can someone help me with this process and a recommendation of a scope that is not too expensive.

Darrell's scout mount will do what you ask. However, it requires an extended eye relief scope (scout or handgun scope).

I have a couple of these and they work great with Weaver handgun scopes on my rifles.

use LOCTITE on the mount. without it, mine lasted about 5 shots before losening and losing zero. with it, no problem.
