I bought a mosin a little ways back and when I went to clean it I took it completely apart like usual but when I put it back together the two front circular metal pieces that hold the wood firmly together are a little lose. I'm not sure if it's due to the wood shrinking or the metal pieces themselves but does anyone know how to tighten the metal circles?

    Thanks ahead for your help

Your talking about the barrel bands?

You can buy new barrel bands from a few sources.

Yes the barrel bands sorry I didn't know the word for it. Is there anyway to tighten it without buying new ones? All parts to my mosin are originally the same and it's a DDR model so I would prefer to keep the original if I could.
