My 2008 Illinois Buck mount (pics)

    I just picked up my Illinois bow buck from last november. Here are some before and after pics.

    I remember seeing the pics of your buck last fall. Took you long enough to get the mount back...but well worth the wait.

    Thats good attention to detail by the taxidermist to put that swollen,"rut" neck in it. I have have see some mounts that look like they have a stove pipe holding up the head.

    Last fall I shot a little buck and put his head in the fork of a tree. When the snow melted this spring I drug out one of the gas grilles to cook some deer burgers and started grilling without noticing who was watching.


    It was kind of funny in a sick way.

    Thats a nice buck, I like the drop tine I will post a pic of the buck I shot this last bow season in MI. with some wierd tines tomarrow when I have more time!!

    [​IMG]Here are a couple my son and I shot. The one on the right is mine, I shot him in 2006. He dressed out at 112lbs. The other one on the left belongs to my son who was 11 now 12 years old. He shot this horse last year (08) Live weight he was 260lbs, field dressed at 200lbs. This was his first time out hunting. I grounded him for the next 5 years. Both deer were shot in Oklahoma.
