my first military surplus rifle. it is a 1941 VKT m39 with all matching numbers. i took it to the range today as soon as it came it. i looked down the bore, it looked clean, so i ran a patch through it and left to shoot. haven't gotten my surplus ammo in yet so i had to use winchester ammo (expensive). it was starting to get dark so my group is not that tight at all, plus in my hurry i forgot to take my bench rest. the target picture is my first group of 5 with the m39 at 100 yards. the pics below are a bit of the old and new style rifle.....the other rifle is my tikka t3 7mm rem mag with a zeiss conquest scope that i bought about a month ago (a tack driver c sub 1" groups at 100 yards). all in all i am quite happy with the new VKT m39 and can't wait til my sako m39 and tikka m27 that i bought arrive. i will post more pics of this beauty later and my new rifles when they come in.
