Where's your point of balance?

When you said your teacher gave you an "alright" is this a knifemaker or shop?

Is your choil big enough for your index finger to fit in comfortably?

Did you pen your bolsters on?

Your lines are good, but spend some more time polishing out the bolster and blade.

I'm not done polishing yet and I have to fix the blade bevel on the other side (somebody test fired a pistol while I was on the belt sander and I jumped).

The whole knife is designed for smaller hands so yes, it would fit smaller fingers.

This was a project for Knife Making at TSJC; unfortunately, it took a back seat to other projects and I hope I can fix it.

Looks good to me. Just keep making them and paying attention to detail and you'll be amazed at the progression.

Gotta echo HSO's points. Blow out that choil and hit the knife with some higher grit belts and you've got a sick blade on your hands.

I like the design concept. Very attractive use of materials. I'd be a buyer of a larger model.
Good job. Thanks for the pictures.

Jim

You did more than just alright, You did pretty good.
Take the advice above, polish it up, and use the lessons learned to make the next one even better.
