She's new, just sworn in on Jan. 3, 2013. Her district covers parts of Alamance, Chatham, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Randolph and Wake Counties.

Her site: http://ellmers.house.gov/

Why she should hear from you (especially if you're in her district):

Ellmers Responds to Obama's Assault on the Second Amendment
January 16 2013

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement from her office in Washington this afternoon following President Obama's press conference on gun restrictions:

"President Obama is once again exploiting a tragedy for political gain and eroding our constitutional rights for the sake of an extreme liberal agenda. We need to have a serious discussion on how we can prevent troubled individuals from carrying out their insane intentions. But attacking our legal rights and liberties through abusive executive orders destroys the very principles that have protected our citizens from oppressive government power for over 236 years."

Actually this is her second term, she has a very good head on her shoulders and is very pro-2a. Came from the healthcare industry and is totally against Obamacare.

My Rep is George Holding and he has also made strong comments which are pro 2nd amendment.

I was going to write her a quick note of support on her website but when I went to the contact form it said, 'regrettably I am unable to respond to anyone that is outside my district.' Oh well.

If you're in her district, let her know you support her position and don't forget her when she comes up for reelection down the road.
