My Colt S/S 45ACP had a "OOPS"" Sunday at the range.
My "Slide stop" broke and must have traveled down the barrel. I notice it only after the slide would not stay open after the last shot!
Took the gun apart, and noticed a slight bulge in the barrel, just so slight!
Should I replace the barrel, and if so which barrel should I buy? or not worry about it?
The barrel has about 3000rds through it

You should always replace a barrel with bulge or dent in it, no matter how minor it may seem. There's too much at risk - hands, gun, face, life. Look here for a decent-priced match barrel/bushing/link combo: http://www.bowmansbrigade.com/cgi-b...FIRE DRAGON&template=standard&exact_match=yes

If I were you, it might be a long shot, but I'd contact Colt and see what they can do for ya. They might honor the replacement of the barrel, with such a low round count through the pistol.

Your slide stop broke and travelled through the barrel? I don't totally understand how that can happen. Do you have any pics to share?
