New found wonder. Awesome pistol Bersa .380 Combat

I was looking at the Bersa Thunder .380 CC, but the LGS had a Combat model for a very good price.

@ 7 yards I put 80 round of PMC through the pistol, and it shot POA/POI. The single action is very light, and it can get away from you. I rattled of two or three before I even knew it. Never had an issue with any of the shots. Magazines were good, gun shot fast or slow. I need to work on the DA pull. I see to shoot right and low on the first shot. All the SA shots were spot on.

Great gun for the money. I am happy with the buy. It is a 9 round carry gun that sure carries better than my J-Frame if you can believe that.

I am trying out a Versa carry IWB, but I am curious if the gun will pick up to much perspiration because it is not protected on the left side touching the skin.

Looking for a better solution. I'd like to carry OWB with a tight fitting right side holster. I always have my shirt pulled out.

Any suggestions?

I have had two Bersas. I could not fire a single round, it always double-tapped whether I wanted to or not. Some sort of ergonomic mismatch with my hand I guess. I gave up.

LOL - The same thought occurred to me.

Conversely, the ergo suited my hand better than most guns.

The 380 Bersa can be a good solution for anyone who is recoil sensitive. Otherwise 9mm can be had in a similar sizes frame.

Been using a Bersa 380 cc as a bug for years. Cant go wrong.

The only thing I see wrong with the Bersa 380 COMBAT is the magazines dont interchange with the regular Thunder 380s. The Thunder 7 round mag, and the Thunder Deluxe 9 round mags interchange, but not with the 8 round Combat mag. I wonder what is different...? The Thunder 380 is a great pistol. So is the Thunder 22. I have both.

It uses the same mags as the Concealed carry model.

Girlfriend picked up a Bersa Thunder and she has loved every shot through it. Still waiting on the holster for it (dang backorders) but it fits her hands really well. Ironically enough she tried out Walther PPK and PPK/s but didn't like them. And the Bersa Thunder is almost a direct copy of those.

Many people find that the Bersa Thunder is actually much better for them than the Walther PPK, even when ignoring the price difference. The Bersa has windage adjustable sights and a slide release lever where the PPK does not. I recently handled a friend's PPK and was very unimpressed with it compared to my Bersa Thunder. Now, maybe in the long term the Walther holds up better or is more reliable, but that really remains to be seen for me. The common adage is "You get what you pay for" and this is the only thing that keeps me from outright saying that the Bersa is all around superior to the PPK.

I got mine new for $265+tax, and that's just about the best value in the handgun market today. I even bought a Thunder in .22 because I liked shooting the .380 so much.

Never have sene the "Combat" version close up, but I do own the Thunder 380, and have since 2008. Great gun, and I carried it for two years before switching to a compact 9mm (which is admittedly a lot less pleasant to shoot.)

I owned a PPK/S 20 years ago. It was a good shoote,r but thinner than the Bersa at the grip, and a little more snappy. Also, was was pointed out, it lacked a manual slide lock. It was also heavier, being of all-steel construction (the Thunder series has an aluminum frame.)
