Because I'm jazzed about it, and I like taking pictures, here's what I got over the weekend. I passed on it at the Crossroads gun show over and over, seeing it for sale from several people. Prices ranged from $325 to $350. I spotted a used one for sale from a pawn broker for $310.

I'm glad I was able to hold out, because later that afternoon I saw it at the gun store/range for $289 and "pulled the trigger".

Good stuff! Despite what some people have to say about 'em, I really like my P22. Sounds like you got a good price too.

As you probably know, they're not exactly tackdrivers, but still hard to beat for plinking. I need to get on the ball and save up for a suppressor for mine.
 
when I got my P22 I got suckered (I guess I am a sucker for neat guns) into a kit...had the 5 inch and the 3 inch barrels along with a red dot sight and the mount for it. Total cost was around 500... good purchase though :) I have been happy with it. Though mine broke right away 200 rounds through it and it the hammer spring broke. Every one I spoke to about it said they never heard of such a thing from a Walter. Got it shipped back to Walter for repairs under warranty and have had no problems what so ever after that...and an additional 300 or 400 rounds later.

I bought a Buckmark for the same $ with Hi-Viz sights attached. Enjoy the cost of shooting the 22's versus 45's
 
Very nice. I'm a fan of Walther's (I have P99's 9MM and a .40 both in QA)
I am currently waiting for my P22 I ordered. I read that there have been a few revisions of the mags for P22 due to some feeding issues. That info is at wikipedia for "walther p22"
 
Yes, all new P22s come with the B revision magazine. Walther fixed most (if not all) of the problems with the A revision. Not 100% sure what they changed between revisions. I love my P22 though - what really aggravates me, though, is that they started offering it in chrome only after I bought mine. :fire:

Mine has been pure joy and a good gun for snakes, 'possums, and such. Mine at least, has plenty of accuracy for that.
 
My guess is that he was asking if you meant a state where it was legal to own a suppressor without a federal license.

Maybe I'm missing something, but last time I field stripped my P-22 I had an awful timing getting the slide back on because of that spring. Sorry to threadjack, but am I missing something?
 
Bought one just last week from a fellow THR member for $230. LNIB.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I hope to this weekend.
 
I love my P22, and yes, mine is suppressed. I have a friend with a suppressed Sig Mosquito and sometimes we are lucky enough to be at the range alone. Shooting without ear protection is a wonderful thing.

Remington Thunderbolts will lead it up badly, I'd avoid those. Remington Golden Bullets work great in my P22.
 
They're a bit overpriced, but it appears to be a pretty decent pistol. Given my choice, I'd take a steel Ruger Mark II/III .22LR any day.
